Welcome to Happiness is Homemade! Before we get to this week’s features, let’s check out what’s been going on here on the blog over the past few days. will be choosing the features for the month of October, so load me up with some great ones (as you always do)!

We are continuing our Decorate with Us series & Tuesday we shared our Halloween entryways! My front door opens straight into our living room, so it’s nice to have a small area where we can put things down or hang things up.

There’s more Halloween decorating ideas & DIYs, along with some free printables, coming so make sure you don’t miss them by following me on social media and via email. Enter your email address below to get an email when I add a new post, including link parties so you never forget to link up!

Now on to the Party!

Welcome to Happiness is Homemade Link Party #502! It’s Niki from Life as a LEO Wife here, back again, choosing the features for the month of October. Like I mentioned last week, I love fun Halloween decorations, so I’m having so much fun visiting all of your fabulous posts and choosing these features!

Missed the party last week? Check it out here!

This Week’s Features

Decorative pillows can be quite expensive, especially holiday pillows. Our own Bev of Eclectic Red Barn made these adorable Halloween pillows using Dollar Tree treat bags, so they were only $1.25! She chose bags made of fabric perfect for outdoor decor. Her tutorial is quick & easy, so be sure to check it out and pin it for later. (Be sure to do that with all of our fabulous features!

This Frankenstein card craft, created by Sam of Simple Everyday Mom, is an adorable idea to create with your kids or even to use in your classroom for our teachers out there! This card would be a great craft to create with your kids for a fun fall afternoon together. You could send them to grandparents, aunts, or friends, and they proudly display them year after year as Halloween decor. I still have cards that my kids made in school or Sunday school that I use as Christmas decorations. I wish a teacher had had either of my kiddos make this Franken-cutie!

I have several Halloween baking pans that usually stay in the Halloween decor bins each year since I’m not a baker or cook. Jennifer of Studio 27 came up with the fabulous idea of upcycling a Halloween baking pan that she found at a thrift store into a permanent faux cake decor piece. She used puffy paint so that her Halloween “cake” looks like it actually has icing on it. This is right up my alley since crafting is way more fun for me than baking. I certainly couldn’t make a real cake that looks like this, lol!

For our last two features this week, I thought I’d bring us a few Halloween adult ideas. Donna of An Organized Season created a Halloween Haunted Mansion themed bedroom which is so cute! She has Halloween decor sprinkled throughout the room, like this apothecary dresser set-up. Check out her full post to see all of the bedroom decor. It’s amazing inspiration for your own Halloween bedroom!

Need a little adult beverage for your Halloween party goers, one to liven up the night while handing out candy to trick or treaters, or even one to enjoy in your beautifully decorated master bedroom? Raquel over at Organized Island has the perfect recipe for you- this spooky looking black martini! It might look like something a witch would use to poison her victims, but the ingredients create a delicious concoction everyone’s sure to enjoy!

Did you know we have a Pinterest Board where all features are saved to?  Save our pins to your own board for your future reference, easy peasy!
