Welcome friends! Today Tammy, of Patina and Paint, and I are continuing our Decorate with Us Halloween Series, sharing ideas for how we decorate our entryway for Halloween. Let’s get right into it!
My front door opens right into my living room. For my fall entryway, I added my grandmother’s cedar chest so that we can sit down and put on our shoes before we walk out the door, and I left it for my Halloween entryway. Above that I hung a shelf with hooks so that I can hang decor, and if I’m feeling generous, I’ll remove some of it so my son can hang his bookbag, ha!
I hung my DIY Halloween witch hat and black cat garland across the chalkboard section of the shelf. In order to hang it, I placed Command hooks on the side of the shelf to wrap the twine around.
To the left of that, I added two brooms from Dollar Tree that I painted black and added Halloween ribbon to. In front of that is another witch hat on which I set a cute “broom parking” sign on the brim.
I’m so happy with how it turned out! What do you think?
Since I’m joining Tammy for our Decorate with Us series, I will be posting my Halloween kitchen counter video and post on Friday, instead of Saturday, which is what you’ll see below. In three weeks, I’ll be back to my regular posting schedule. Tomorrow, Wednesday, is Craft with Us Wednesday, so I hope to see you here!
