Ever wanted to live in a house designed by legendary architect Frank Lloyd Wright? Now’s your chance. But, unsurprisingly, it won’t come cheap. Wright’s final completed residential design, the Circular Sun House, just hit the market for $8.95 million.

Located in the Phoenix Mountains Preserve just outside Phoenix, Arizona, the Circular Sun House (also known as the Norman Lykes House) is one of only 14 circular homes that the architect designed in his lifetime. The home was originally commissioned by shipping magnate Norman Lykes in 1959, the same year as Wright’s death. Lykes later oversaw its completion in 1967. Wright’s apprentice John Rattenbury later updated and remodeled the Circular Sun House in the 1990s.

The 3,095-square-foot home was designed to blend in with the curves of the surrounding desert mountain. It also features three beds, an office, a den, a crescent-shaped pool, and a library. Homeowners will enjoy unobstructed views of Palm Canyon and the city of Phoenix below.  With a floor plan made up of “overlapping concentric circles” that help the space “[flow seamlessly from one room to another,” the Circular Sun House’s curved walls are covered in golden Philippine mahogany.

Per the listing, the Circular Sun House was purchased by its current owners in November 2019, for a significantly lower price of $7,950,000. For a time, it was used as an Airbnb, available to travelers for approximately $1,395 a night. Hopefully, the new owners will continue to give Wright enthusiasts a chance to enjoy this desert oasis in all its circular glory.
