Easy Entertaining Ideas: How to Make a Vegan Charcuterie Board

You don’t have to be vegan to love this vegan charcuterie board!

I picked up a bunch of really pretty produce from the farmer’s market the other day. And we were headed to a friend’s house, so I made a veggie platter to bring over, along with a couple different types of hummus. It was easy to make and delicious. But most importantly, which I realized after the fact, it was entirely vegan.

Making this a great dish for parties because anyone can eat them.

Vegan Charcuterie Board

Here’s the full list of veggies I used for my veggie platter. You can use any vegetables you like, but I thought this list might be helpful, if you’re headed to pick up groceries or making a trip to the farmers market…

  • watermelon radishes
  • rainbow carrots
  • cucumbers
  • celery
  • peppers (I used candy cane red peppers)
  • atomic grape tomatoes (any small tomatoes will work)

You can make your own homemade hummus, dip, etc – or just buy something store bought to make things easy. Either way, you have a pretty to look at AND good tasting appetizer that people can munch on throughout the party.

More Hummus Board Ideas

I made a bunch of summer salad recipes a few years back and the one recipe that is still consistently in my top three things people pin from Paper and Stitch is this hummus board.

SO, if you’re looking for another option, that’s another good one. It is really pretty for a party and more importantly, easy to make.

More Vegan Charcuterie Board Ideas

I stuck with fresh farm vegetables for this board, but there are tons of vegan options for snacking trays like these. Here are some more ideas for things you can add to a vegan charcuterie board that would be equally delicious…

  • roasted / toasted chickpeas
  • olives (marinated or kalamata)
  • peperoncini
  • artichoke hearts
  • snap peas
  • nuts (almonds, cashews, pecans, macadamia nuts)
  • dried fruits (cherries, golden raisins, apricots, cranberries)
  • vegan cheeses
  • fruits (apples, berries, grapes, peaches, nectarines, pears, clementines, etc)
  • breads
  • crackers

  • hummus I used sun dried tomato hummus and spinach hummus
  • Wash all vegetables thoroughly.

  • Peel the carrots and cucumbers (if desired). Chop off the rough ends of the celery.

  • Cut the tomatoes in half, cut celery stalks and carrots into 2-4 inch pieces, slice the peppers into long skinny strips, and cut cucumbers and radishes into thin(ish) slices. Refrigerate all veggies until you’re ready to plate / make the platter.

  • Add hummus into small to medium size bowls and place in a large dish or wooden board. Add sliced veggies all around the hummus bowls in various piles / sections.

You can make your own homemade hummus, dip, etc – or just buy something store bought to make things easy. Either way, you have a pretty to look at AND good tasting appetizer that people can munch on throughout the party.

Would you bring this veggie platter / hummus board to a party? What kinds of things do you normally like to include on a charcuterie board?
