A Step-by-Step Guide to Designing Your Bathroom Vanity

Planning and attention to detail are essential for a superb vanity design. There are many choices to be made, from the design and layout to the sink and countertop options.

When working with a designer or other home expert to develop your new vanity area, you may use this six-step approach as a guide. Continue reading this article to get the latest bathroom vanities design.

1. Decide on The Layout

A key component of building a vanity and bathroom design project is understanding the size of your vanity and exactly where you want to fit it. Galley designs are intended to maximize space. There is enough area for two vanities to work together if there is space between them. With just one piece of cabinetry, horizontal vanities are the most effective and practical designs for tiny counters and storage shortages. L-shaped vanities, especially in master bathrooms, can provide plenty of legs and arm room and also provide the impression of space.

2. Determining Your Sink Capacity Or Preferences

When given the option, the majority of homeowners choose double sinks that can handle two people at once. However, this has the drawback of limiting the size of vanities, and you might have difficulties locating one that fits both sinks. Nevertheless, vanities that are smaller than 60 inches in length are often designed to accommodate just one sink. If you can only use one sink, that is preferable because it will allow for a larger countertop. Also keep in mind that vanities can be ordered or purchased with or without drawers, and that sinks can be positioned in the center, to the right, or the left.

3. Selecting A Style

Choosing the ideal vanity design is the next step in your bathroom vanity makeover. Will it be an antique piece of furniture, a pedestal sink without a vanity underneath, or a typical cabinet design? If you choose traditional designs, you’ll also need to consider the cabinet’s color, the type of stain or paint used, the door style, and whether or not you want drawers, doors, or pullouts.

4. How to Choose A Countertop

Today’s most popular materials are granite, quartz, fake and real marble, laminate, concrete, wood, and solid surfaces in general. Granite and quartz, which are the most durable materials, are most frequently used in contemporary bathroom vanity designs. However, because granite is a rather porous stone, it must be constantly sealed. Marble is regarded by many homeowners as being the most attractive; yet, just like wood, it can scratch easily and hold stains from moisture.

5. Choose a handle

Choosing a handle is the final step. This depends on the vanity because some have a hidden handle, so you might not need to follow this step. However, if your vanity offers a choice of handles, you will normally need to decide on a style (for example, brass or black) and/or colour (for example, brass or black). Just add tapware and other finishing touches to your vanity, and you’re ready to go!
